Founded in 1993, Specnor Tecnic is a leading supplier of high quality soldering equipment for the electronics assembly industry. Headquartered in St-Hubert, Quebec, Canada, Specnor has been growing steadily since it’s beginning.

The company designs, manufactures and supports a complete line of wave soldering machines, reflow ovens and mini-wave selective soldering equipment as well as retrofit kits, spare parts and other specialty tooling. The electronic assembly industry is in constant evolution and Specnor has been able to adapt to the new technologies and even lead the industry with technical innovations.

Specnor Tecnic’s vision is to offer quality products that can be customized to meet the customers needs at a very competitive price. We are also committed to manufacturing our equipment and parts locally with our experienced team of technicians, engineers and designers.

1993

Humble beginnings

Specnor Tecnic was officially founded in 1993. The small scale company started with the 3 founders working out of a modest industrial workshop in Delson, Quebec. With mostly North American customers, the company grew steadily and made it’s name in the electronic manufacturing industry.
1999

New headquarters

After spending 7 years renting the same workshop, the company had to move to a bigger location due to it’s significant growth. Specnor decided to build a brand new facility in Saint-Hubert, Quebec to support the volume of production and to optimize their operations.
2005

Winners of the SMT Vision Award

Specnor Tecnic is awarded the coveted SMT Vision Award in the category of Mass Soldering Equipment for its innovative Lead-Free Retrofit Kit. The Kit offers the ability to upgrade any existing wave soldering machine for lead-free operation in lieu of buying a new machine or replacing the entire solder pot wich is a breakthrough innovation.
